DEPARTMENT
The Department of Cardiology provides a complete range of cardiology services covering General Cardiology, Heart Failure, Structural Heart and Arrhythmia specialities and undertakes clinical research activities in affiliation with Baker Heart and Diabetes Institute. The Cardiology Department is involved in a large number of international and local clinical trials from Phase 1 first in human to Phase 3 randomised controlled trials investigating newly developed drugs and devices for clinical use in Cardiovascular medicine.
POSITION SUMMARY

It is comprised of five domains that are crucial to maintain standards, lead change and add value to healthcare. An exciting opportunity exists for a Registered Nurse to assist with cardiac clinical research in the specialty of Heart Failure. While the primarily focus will be on the daily conduct of ongoing heart failure and cardiac device clinical trials, the role will also involve working on other research projects under the direction of the principle investigator.
QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
Essential
• Bachelor’s Degree Nursing
• Registered Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia via AHPRA.
• Current and satisfactory Police Check
• Current and satisfactory Working With Children Check
Desirable
• Previous experience as a Research Nurse
• Certificate in Good Clinical Practice (GCP), or willingness to undertake this training
• Previous experience working in cardiology and/or heart failure
