Our Reservations Agent role would suit someone who has call centre, travel or previous reservations experience. Ideally you will be confident in receiving a high volume of hotel or accommodation bookings, with strong attention to detail experience setting traces and managing guest follow up and have a warm and friendly phone manner. You may also have extensive face to face customer service or front office experience and are looking for a change to a "office" environment

Initially you will be working Mon-Fri between the hours of 8am - 6pm. Please note that this is a 6 month maternity leave contract role. The full time hourly rate is $24.87 Mon-Fri.
Reporting to the Reservations Manager, your role will involve:
- Ensure that guest expectations are exceeded by paying attention to detail with every accommodation booking
- Input reservations into Opera from phone and email enquiries
- Monitor third party extranets to follow up on any missed reservations or cancellations
- Confirm reservations for rooms according to the room’s availability, accords the rates that are currently in effect and arranges the billing according to resort procedures
- Assists with group conferencing from the initial contact to development of the rooming lists
- Convert telephone and on-line enquiries into bookings utilising your ability to engage and instantly build rapport with people
- Keep up to date with and proactively promote resort offers and promotions
- Your working hours will be between 8am - 6pm, five days per week, including weekends and public holidays as per business demands
Requirements
- Experience with reservations systems, ideally Opera or similar
- You will bring experience in a hotel reservations or front office environment
- Intermediate to advanced skill level Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong sales focus and the ability to up-sell the hotel features
- Effective communication skills both written and verbal
- Ability to juggle multiple calls and enquiries
- Demonstrated experience working in a high volume inbound call environment
