About the role
Rydges Newcastle is currently seeking a professional and friendly Reservations Agent to support the Reservations team on a 12 month maternity contract with opportunity to grow or move into other supporting roles at the completion of the 12 months.This role suits an energetic, passionate and detail oriented personality who is excited by giving great guest experience. To thrive in this role, you will have a can-do attitude, strong administration skills, an emphasis on customer service and a passion for Hospitality/Tourism.
The hours will be
Monday: 0800-1600
Tuesday: 1400-1800
Wednesday: 1400-1800
Thursday: 1400-1800
Friday: 1400-1800
Key Responsibilities
- Anticipating and attending to guest reservation queries
- Responding to reservations calls and emails
- Action reservation requests, room lists and room allocations
- Collaborating with other departments to ensure our hotel rooms are amazingly prepared for our arriving guests
Skills and Experience
- Proficient in computer applications (Opera PMS an advantage)
- You should have previous customer service experience in a hotel environment
- A logical, common-sense approach to resolving concerns
- An empathetic ability to anticipate our guests' needs
- Attention to detail, particularly when handling guest requests
- Demonstrated 'can-do' approach to your duties and a willingness to help our team succeed
