SalaryOur general insurance client is seeking an actuary to join their reserving team with an initial focus on AASB17. This is an initial 12-month contract after which you will become a permanent member of the reserving team.
About the role
- Initial focus on designing, testing and implementing the reserving process for AASB17 including policy and methodology design, data preparation, system design and testing, reporting, and communication of results.
- Support the broader reserving team with the month-end, quarter end and year-end valuation process.
- Assist with statutory reports, including the AVR and Financial Condition Report.
- Assist with forecasting of capital projections and ICAAP reporting.
- Associate or Fellow of the Institute of Actuaries of Australia or equivalent.
- Minimum of 4 years of actuarial experience with reserving experience essential.
- Experience with AASB17 highly regarded.
- Proficiency in SAS, SQL, VBA, and Excel.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
