Position: Residential Care Officer
Location of work: Sydney and its suburbs
Nature of employment: Full time- Expected to work on Roster and during weekends weekends
Reporting to: Director/ Operations Manager
Job Description & Duties
- Provide care to participants in accordance with their individualised care plan and connect to other organisations when needed
- Assess and respond to the individual needs of disabled people in health care after taking into accounts their cultural aspects and develop an individualised care plan
- Promote, encourage and ensure positive relationships with peers, carers, parents, family members, others and the community
- Provide opportunities for disabled people to experience success and realise their potential.
- Provide support programs, training and educational facilities to enhance disabled talent and positively contribute to the community
- Consult with other staff, observe and accurately record disabled people's behaviour, needs and interactions with others.
- Provide disabled people in care with guidance, support, supervision and protection from harm and exploitation
- Interact, actively support and participate with disabled people in a range of recreation, education and personal development programs
- Actively participate in staff training and development, supervisory sessions, house and staff meetings and other work team activities
- Refer the disabled people to other agencies which may provide the required relief of additional assistance
- Prepare data, write reports and submissions for funding and resources,
- Prepare reports to government bodies and other agencies on behalf of the NDIS employer in relation to work performed at that location
- Promote development initiatives and collective solutions to address issues, needs, problems associated with recreational, health, housing, other welfare matters associated with disabled people in the care of the organisation
- Design and deliver active programming tailored to the needs and interests of individuals
- Develop and manage community programs to assist those in need of services
- Establish organisational guidelines and regulations to maintain efficiency and compliance
- Driving efficiencies, building strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to streamline process improvement
- Coordinate all daily operations of our personalised programs and execute them in a safe and socially inclusive environment
Experience: Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in the related field
Salary: $ 80,000 to $ 90,000 excluding superannuation (depending on the experience)
