With a strong pipeline of work, Broadway Homes are seeking to add additional Estimators and Schedulers to our team. These roles are full time and based out of our modern offices located in Wangara.
We are a design and construct building company that specialises in boutique two storey homes ranging from $800,000 to $1,500,000.
As part of the Delstrat group we have a long standing history of innovation and delivery quality residential and commercial construction across Western Australia over the past 30 years.
The Roles:Estimator
- Efficiently read and understand proposal sketches and plans.
- Prepare accurate cost estimates and variations for both the Sales and Prestart teams.
- Effective communication skills to facilitate a smooth sales process with the Sales team.
- Monitor and maintain a database of costings and materials.
- Implement new methodology and systems to help improve workflow.
- Monitor and update price book on a regular basis.
- Identify opportunities for design efficiency or cost controls.
- Report progress of work to management and other team members.
Scheduler
- Develop and maintain comprehensive bill of quants for a projects lifespan.
- Raising purchase orders for suppliers and sub-contractors.
- Collaborate with supervisors, engineers, suppliers, and other team members to gather information and ensure accuracy and efficiency in scheduling.
- Review project plans, specifications, and requirements to create realistic and achievable project timelines.
- Implement new methodology and systems to help improve workflow.
- Monitor and update price book on a regular basis.
- Report progress of work to management and other team members.
- Utilize scheduling software and tools to optimize workflow and streamline communication.
- Minimum two years’ experience as a Scheduler or an Estimator.
- Two storey experience required.
- Knowledge of construction processes, methodologies, and industry best practices.
- Proficiency in using software such as Microsoft Office, Beams, BCS, Databuild or equivalent.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
- Proficient in managing and prioritizing tasks to meet deadlines effectively.
- Certificate IV in Building and Construction would be advantageous but not required.
