Estimator Trainee - Residential

We are seeking a motivated and self directed person, with a strong commitment to excellence, to join our residential estimating team as a Trainee Estimator.

With a range of single storey, double storey & acreage designs, the opportunities for the right candidate are plentiful.

Your Role

While this is an entry level position, we expect that your learning curve will be steep and that within a short period of time you will be a integral member of our estimating team, at which time your role will include:

• Produce estimates for single and two storey homes, as well as multi-unit developments
• Preparing estimates, quotes and Price Variations for our sales and pre-start teams
• Liaise with suppliers and other relevant stakeholders to confirm price and availability of materials
• Liaising with Drafting Department, Prestart Department and other external stakeholders to ensure the timeliness in progress of estimating works

Ideally, as the successful candidate you will have:

• Previous experience in the construction industry preferred but not essential
• An analytical mind with a strong acumen for numbers
• High level written and oral communications skills
• Capacity to read and interpret architectural and structural plans
• Enthusiasm and a strong desire to learn and develop in a team environment
