We are seeking applications from registered or clinical psychologists who are eager to transition to a residential role in the coastal town of Port Hedland Western Australia, the second largest town in the Pilbara region.
The role is to provide EAP services, primarily counselling, to employees and their families for one of our client companies.
Key role responsibilities include:
Counselling to support the mental wellbeing of employees of resource sector organisations;
EAP services and mental health promotion;
Support for leadership teams to assist them support their employees;
Building networks within the Port Hedland community;
Crisis intervention and support.
You would also from time to time:
Deliver workshops and short presentations, on and off site
Liaise with on site health and safety teams to support their workforce; and
Conduct formal assessments in the fitness for work space
The role does not include:
Private and/or medicare work
NDIS work
Qualification and requirements:
Full registration with AHPRA, at least 5 years experience preferred;
Strong interpersonal and communication skills;
Ability to work autonomously in remote locations, whilst maintaining high levels of connection with the wider BSS team;
Ability to work with people across the lifespan, including children and couples.
