This position is responsible to carrying out all operational duties at the Waste Management Facility, in a safe and professional manner. To work within and contribute to a multi-skilled team that promotes Council’s service image by providing courteous, responsive, and effective customer service.
This position will operate machinery used to operate the Waste Management Facility including: hook lift truck, front end loader, excavator (tracked & wheeled), waste compactor, back hoe loader and forklift. Council will support the right candidate to gain the licences and tickets if they don’t already have them.
Council is looking for enthusiastic candidates with relevant skills or a keen willingness to learn new skills required for the positions. To be successful in the role you will work closely with your colleagues to complete daily tasks and identify any operational improvements to better Council’s Waste Facilities performance.
This position will be a full-time position working over 4 days per week.
Remuneration: base salary commencing at $57,405 up to $68,293 gross per annum
+ adverse working conditions allowance of $2,500 gross annum
+ 11% superannuation
+ performance payment 1% - 3.5% annual salary
+ annual award increase
