RESTAURANT MANAGER – Fulltime position
KMK group Queensland Pty Ltd T/as Indian Mehek seeks full-time Restaurant Manager to produce a
range of authentic Indian veg and non-veg curries.
Indian Mehek provides customers with modern Indian fine dining experience and is located at 10
Felix Street in heart of Brisbane CBD. The team at Indian Mehek believes that making authentic
Indian food is not our job but passion. We include our love to food apart from exotic ingredients.
The Role
You will be responsible for leading and managing the various staff as well as the overall
operations of the restaurant. This is a full-time role with late and weekend shifts included.
The Responsibilities
Your tasks at the restaurant will consist of:
Ensure that day to day operations of the restaurant runs smoothly and efficiently to
ensure maximum profit and minimum cost generation.
Planning and organising special functions and events
Consulting with Chefs and planning and organising menu, estimates food costs and
profits and adjusts menus.
Checking quality of food and controlling costs by reviewing portion control and
quantities of preparation, minimizing waste and ensuring high quality of preparation.
Communicating changes of food preparation formulas, standards to all staff
members.
Recruit, hire, select and train and roaster staff member as and when require
Communicating with customers and assessing their satisfaction with meals and
service, taking reservations, greeting guests and assisting in taking orders when
necessary.
Ensuring that health and food safety codes, product preparation and cleanliness
standards are maintained and that dining facilities are clean, functional and of
suitable appearance and that they comply with the health regulations.
To be selected you must have:
Minimum of 2 years' experience as a Restaurant Manager with hands-on experience
Diploma in hospitality management or relevant experience to substitute qualification
At least 2 years of menu planning experience including cost control and planning
menu to budget.
Management, communication and organisational skills
Team player and able to work in busy environment
We are offering excellent working conditions and a starting gross salary of $70,000 plus
superannuation.
