Cinque Terre is the brain child of industry leaders Arno Tan (Think Asia; Hawker Bar), Susie Wong (OMI; Sushi Sushi) and David Mackintosh (Ides; Bar March; SPQR; Lee Ho Fook). Nearing the end of our second year (time flies when you're having fun!), Cinque Terre is proving an unstoppable force. Not for the faint of heart, we regularly do upwards of 700 covers a day. But with a great team of professionals from all walks of life and all around the world we do our very best to bring the hospitality, flavour and vibrance of the "five lands" to Melbourne. Based in the Social Quarter of Chadstone Shopping Centre, our clientele ranges from loyal weekly patrons to movie enthusiasts and tourists staying at the fabulous Chadstone Hotel. Qualifications & experience
- Proven experience as a Restaurant Manager in a similar high-volume establishment.
- In-depth knowledge of Italian wines, spirits, and cocktails. WSET qualifications favourable but not essential.
- Exceptional organisational and multitasking abilities.
- Familiarity with inventory management and cost control.
- Certification in responsible alcohol service.
Tasks & responsibilities
- Hiring, training, and supervising floor and bar staff.
- Sourcing and selecting quality Italian wines, beers, and spirits.
- Resolving customer complaints and issues.
- Creating promotions, happy hours, and special events.
- Monitoring and managing bar and floor inventory levels, ordering and restocking supplies as needed.
- Collaborating with the kitchen team to ensure seamless coordination between the kitchen and restaurant.
- Utilizing and updating point-of-sale systems and other relevant technology for efficient operations.
- Closing and reconciling the till systems at end of day.
- Running beverage and food training sessions with all front of house staff.
