We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Restaurant Manager to lead our team in a bustling new Gastro Pub located in the vibrant Melbourne City Fringe. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for ensuring exceptional customer service, maintaining high operational standards, and fostering a positive work environment.
Responsibilities:
Leadership: Lead by example, inspiring and motivating team members to deliver outstanding service and achieve performance targets.
Operations Management: Oversee day-to-day restaurant operations, including but not limited to, staffing, inventory management, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
Customer Experience: Ensure that guests receive a memorable dining experience by maintaining high standards of service, addressing customer concerns promptly, and soliciting feedback to continuously improve operations.
Staff Training and Development: Train new staff members on company policies, procedures, and service standards. Provide ongoing coaching and development opportunities to enhance team performance.
Financial Management: Work closely with the management team to develop and manage budgets, control costs, and maximize profitability through efficient operations and strategic pricing strategies.
Vendor Relations: Establish and maintain positive relationships with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely delivery of quality products at competitive prices.
Quality Control: Monitor food and beverage quality, presentation, and consistency to uphold the reputation of the establishment as a premier dining destination.
Marketing and Promotion: Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and implement promotional strategies to attract new customers and retain existing ones.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Restaurant Manager or similar role in a high-volume, upscale dining establishment.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with a diverse team.
- Exceptional customer service skills with a passion for creating memorable dining experiences.
- Solid understanding of restaurant operations, including staffing, inventory management, and financial controls.
- Knowledge of food and beverage trends, as well as local regulations pertaining to health, safety, and sanitation.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required.
- Relevant certifications or qualifications in hospitality management or related field are desirable.
