About the role
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Restaurant Manager to join our team and lead the charge in delivering an exceptional guest experience. As the Restaurant Manager, you will play a crucial role in shaping the culture of Chiki Chan and ensuring operational excellence and outstanding service.
Typical duties will include:
- Lead and inspire a diverse team to provide outstanding service and uphold the highest standards of hospitality by providing leadership and support to the front-of-house team, including wait staff, hosts, and bartenders.
- Oversee day-to-day operations, including staff scheduling, training, and development.
- Ensure a seamless and efficient flow of service, maintaining a high level of guest satisfaction.
- Maintain a welcoming atmosphere for guests, addressing any concerns or inquiries promptly and professionally.
- Collaborate with the kitchen and bar teams to uphold the quality and consistency of our diverse menu.
- Implement and enforce policies and procedures to guarantee a safe and enjoyable dining environment.
- Train, mentor, and motivate staff to deliver outstanding guest service and uphold Chiki Chan's standards.
- Manage inventory, control costs, and optimise financial performance. Monitor inventory levels and manage supplies, ordering, and stocking to meet operational needs.
- Foster positive relationships with guests, addressing feedback and resolving any issues promptly.
- Stay informed about industry trends and incorporate innovative ideas into the restaurant's offerings.
About you
We are looking for someone that is passionate about delivering the ultimate experience to our guests and staff. You will be passionate about hospitality and have 3+ years experience as a Restaurant Manager of a casual vibrant restaurant.
In addition, the successful applicant will need to have the following but not limited to:
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, with a focus on providing exceptional guest service.
- Knowledge of financial aspects, including budgeting and cost management.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and make sound decisions under pressure.
- In-depth knowledge of Asian cuisine and a passion for delivering exceptional dining experiences.
- Knowledge of food and beverage operations, including menu items, ingredients, and preparation methods.
- Knowledge with health and safety regulations and best practices for maintaining a clean and hygienic environment.
- Experience with opening New Restaurants.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Certification in Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA).
- A passion for food, hospitality, and creating memorable experiences for guests.
