Royal South Yarra Lawn Tennis Club, located in Toorak (Melbourne), is an exclusive private members club with over 4,600 members. The Club is looking for a passionate Restaurant Manager to complete a team of talented managers to deliver the very best dining experience for Club members and their guest(s).
The Club is seeking an enthusiastic person who is capable of multi-tasking in a busy day to day environment. The right candidate will need to be hands-on, be a strong leader, fast on their feet and have strong knowledge of food and beverage options.
Tasks Include:
- managing all aspects of the operational and financial performance of the restaurant
- maintaining records of stock levels and financial transactions
- ensuring the venue and facilities are clean and organised to ensure the compliance of relevant food & safety regulations of the venue.
- enforcing processes to maintain a safe & secure workplace
- conferring with members to assess their satisfaction with meals and service provided
- selecting, training and supervising wait & kitchen staff
- supervising staff and overseeing the process of recruitment for restaurant staff
- assist with rostering to ensure it meets the business needs & requirements
- providing training to staff with regards to importance of safe & secure workplace
- planning menus in consultation with Club Chefs
- communicate, monitor, evaluate and modify the quality and consistency of service and product delivery to continuously meet and improve service standards, ensuring alignment with the overall strategic and operating plans for the business
- driving revenue targets by effectively managing the team
This position can be challenging. Previous experience in a busy restaurant or club environment is essential. You will need to be tertiary qualified with either AQF Associate Degree, Advanced Diploma or Diploma in Hospitality.

This position is a full-time (38 hours per week, minimum) salaried role paying $70,000 plus superannuation. It will require work on weekends and nights on a rotating roster, in conjunction with our Bar Manager and Front of House Manager.
