There’s never been a good reason not to go to Stokehouse. View-deprived Melburnians have been packing the joint for years to perch above the boardwalk and stare thirstily at beach and bay. The same could be said for our loyal staff that embrace the Stokehouse lifestyle as much as our patrons. And now, due to an internal promotion we are on the look-out for one of Melbourne’s best to take the reins and lead us as Restaurant Manager at the institutional Stokehouse.
The Role
This is a hands-on “no two days the same” role as you:
- Drive the service and the team to hospitality excellence
- Manage day to day operations with sophistication and passion
- Work with the leadership team to manage wages, cog’s and operational expenses
- Work with our events and sales team to drive and manage amazing events
- Continue to drive the culture that has set the restaurant to be an ‘employer of choice’
The Expectation
You will be an individual who is self-driven, with strong organisational skills., and possess the following:
- Extensive management experience in upmarket / high-end restaurant dining – either here or abroad
- Hands-on and operational restaurant know-how
- The ability to understand and own the financials, with a ‘think outside the box’ approach to driving revenue and spend-per-head
- Excellence around product knowledge, service skills, team culture and guest relationships
- A true passion and understanding of food, wine, beverages and hospitality-at-large
- You will be a natural leader, with the ability to develop and lead a high performing team to create memorable guest experiences
- Enthusiasm, a great sense of humour and a passionate disposition
