We are looking for friendly and customer-focused individuals to join our team as Indian Restaurant Waiters/Waitresses. The Waiter/Waitress will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our guests, assisting them with menu selections, taking orders, serving food and beverages, and ensuring a positive dining experience. Responsibilities:
1. Welcome and greet guests in a warm and friendly manner, providing them with menus and guiding them to their tables.
2. Assist guests in making menu selections, offering recommendations and answering any questions about Indian dishes and ingredients.
3. Take food and beverage orders accurately and efficiently, ensuring attention to detail and order accuracy.
4. Relay orders to the kitchen and bar staff, communicating any special requests or dietary restrictions.
5. Serve food and beverages promptly and courteously, using proper service techniques and adhering to presentation standards.
6. Monitor guest satisfaction throughout the dining experience, checking in periodically and addressing any concerns or requests promptly.
7. Anticipate guest needs and provide proactive service, such as refilling drinks, clearing empty plates, and offering additional items.
8. Handle guest payments accurately and efficiently, processing transactions and providing receipts as needed.
9. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area, including tables, chairs, and condiment stations.
10. Collaborate with the kitchen and bar staff to ensure smooth coordination of food and beverage service.
11. Follow all safety and sanitation procedures, including proper handling of food and adherence to health regulations.
12. Attend staff meetings and training sessions as required, staying informed about menu changes, specials, and restaurant policies.
13. Uphold company values and standards of hospitality, providing a positive and memorable dining experience for every guest.
14. Assist in other areas of the restaurant as needed, including hosting, bussing tables, and cleaning duties.
Requirements:
1. Previous experience as a waiter/waitress in a restaurant setting, preferably with knowledge of Indian cuisine.
2. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with guests and coworkers.
3. Professional appearance and demeanor, with a friendly and welcoming attitude.
4. Strong multitasking abilities, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
5. Attention to detail and accuracy, particularly in taking orders and handling payments.
