About the role
QIC’s Retail Design and Delivery team are currently seeking an experienced and dedicated Retail Delivery Manager to oversee the development and delivery of store projects for Castle Towers.
This rare and exciting opportunity involves managing tenancy delivery works on a daily basis, ensuring all store developments are executed in line with approved leases and directions from the Portfolio Delivery Manager and the Portfolio General Manager – Retail Design and Delivery.

The key accountabilities are not limited to but include:
- Successfully manage the Retail Delivery process for all specialty retail tenants within allocated shopping centres and projects, ensuring quality and timely delivery in accordance with approved guidelines.
- Oversee day-to-day Retail Delivery duties, ensuring all milestone dates are tracked, reported, and achieved to meet agreed opening dates.
- Liaise and maintain strong relationships with QIC’s Design, Leasing, Development, Lease Administration, and Centre Management teams to ensure successful tenancy delivery.
- Oversee the defect management process within tenancies, supporting the TDM through rectification with relevant service providers and conducting final inspections to ensure all defects are rectified.
- Provide accurate and timely reports on Category 1 variation costs, Lessor works, works investigations, defects, and completed projects.
- Ensure lease deal contractor management and contract administration comply with company policy and guidelines.
- Assist Leasing teams with client meetings, sketch plans, cost estimates, and cost planning for lease deals.
- Comply with QIC Work Health and Safety policies and guidelines, proactively reporting any risks or hazards that may impact workplace health and safety.
About you
You will possess a blend of technical expertise, strong project management skills, and excellent interpersonal abilities. You are a problem solver at heart, adept at resolving conflicts and overcoming obstacles to keep projects on track. You will also have:
- Qualification in relevant building and property disciplines.
- Demonstrated experience in the store design and delivery process within a Retail Shopping Centre environment.
- Elevated level of technical property operations expertise in trade or building services.
- Sound knowledge of building and operational property management regulations.
- Experience working with a retailer or landlord in store design and delivery.
- Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Project, and Word; familiarity with SharePoint or similar CRM is beneficial.
- Proven ability to complete projects on time and within budget.
- Strong leadership and motivational skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
