As RETAIL EXCELLENCEASSISTANT MANAGER for australia, you will be part of the retail department, leading continuous improvement projects which drive high operational standards and perfromance. this experience will enable you to build well-rounded experience in a regional retail organisation.
YOUR IMPACT
Store operations
- Manage new store openings and any existing store refurbishment operational arrangements
- Manage day-to-day operation of the stores visiting stores refularly to understand business needs, solve any related issues, and identify operational gaps
- Participate in driving a high standard of operational efficiency, clarity and collaboration for both office & stores
- Define and refresh the retail operations manual to ensure stores satisfy audit requirements
- Ensure the standard of housekeeping and merchandising are maintained at all times
- Implement and monitor security measures across stores ensuring any investigations and subsequent reporting on abnormalevents are accurate and lead to lasting improvements
Retail Sales Performance& Reporting
- Act as business partner to the retail management team (gm's and country-level retail managers) to drive high operational efficiency and standards and sales across the network
- Provide an in-depth analysis of key performance indicators (kpis) and initiate innovative programs across the region to drive specific business objectives and maximise sales opportunities
- Maintain, update and improve the brand retail handbook to ensure operational standards are continuously improved and aligned across the region
Stocks
- Inbound coordination liaison with logistics, including discrepancy reporting to the brand s.a./gxo (including non-merchandise)
- Manage the order & inventory of non-merchandise materials (e.g. packaging, store necessities, uniforms, etc) to ensure timely replenishment & optimum usage
- Coordinating and preparing stocks transfers and reverse logistics (including pro forma, documentation and courier booking organisation)
Store projects
- Coordinate night work schedules between the stores & contractors
- Arrange for security services whenever necessary
- Ensure stores meet the landlords' requirement for maintenance and visual inspection
KEYS FOR SUCCESS
Education:
Business school, university or equivalent, in business or retail management
Experience:
Significant background in all-round retail industry, 5-7 years experience in roles including retail management & operations and retail management.
Skills & personal attributes:
- Strong knowledge of retail operations, well versed in retail operation topics, business analysis, kpi measurement and setup
- Self-motivated with a sense of initiative and urgency
- Exceptional organizational skills
- Detail-oriented and strong in excel advantageous, good business acumen anylytical and results driven
- Strong negotiation skills and awareness of internal and external customer needs demonstrating an ability to influence Stakeholders in a positive way
- Strong interpersonal and communication , collaboration skills, ability to connect and work closely with people
- Good understanding of the luxury sector in australia and the retail landscape amongst competitors
- Strong client centric mind and service oriented
- Entrepreuneurial, creative and innovatice
- Travel is required based on business needs
