Our opportunity
As Retail Precinct Manager, you will be responsible for the delivery of high-quality services, operational excellence and a customer-centric focus at the asset(s). You will drive the leasing strategy and be committed to ensuring positive relationships with retail operators to ensure a sustainable and profitable performance in line with the asset strategy. This leadership role will drive outcomes across a high performing and highly engaged team in an inclusive work environment. This is a 10 month parental leave contract.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Drive strong engagement with key stakeholders (internal and external) to support effective decision making and enable strategic execution, whilst cultivating a customer-centric culture across all aspects of asset management
- Play a key role in driving the leasing strategy for the precinct
- Provide leadership to the asset team to develop and improve their collective strengths, skills and knowledge, while fostering high levels of engagement and performance
- Build collaborative relationships with retail operators, office tenants, community partners, authorities, customers and co-owners
- Provide input into the preparation of the Strategic Asset Plan for the asset(s) and ensure all items are executed in line with, or exceed, agreed strategy and timeframes
- Contribute to the preparation and implementation of the asset's income and expenditure budgets
- Work closely with retail operators to execute strategic retail management planning, and ensure offerings are maximised at the asset and opportunities are identified to improve sales
- Deliver service and reporting requirements in compliance with Co-Owner Agreements and Property Management Agreements
- Drive collaboration within teams to create and deliver strategic programs that optimise asset positioning and market share, and enhance the customer experience through active marketing, events, activations and capital initiatives
- Work with the Marketing team to maximise sales and traffic, and provide direction for targeted marketing initiatives to work on identified objectives and issues
- Responsible for ensuring the asset is always maintained and presented to the highest standard
- Act as Duty Manager on evenings/weekends/public holidays as required
- Actively contribute to project working groups across the business that deliver tangible outcomes for the division
Your point of difference
- Significant experience in property, including retail and asset management
- Demonstrated success in achieving results through effective leadership, stakeholder relationship management at all levels, and by driving a customer-centric strategy
- Demonstrated superior people management experience, with people being developed and empowered to succeed
- Experienced in preparing asset income and expenditure budgets on an accrual basis and strategic asset planning
- Experience in property forecasting tools including Cougar, MRI and Yardi is desirable
- Relevant tertiary qualifications are highly desirable
- Exceptional organisational and resource management skills with the ability to prioritise work effectively, ensuring deadlines are achieved on time
- Ability to think strategically, adapt to change, deal with ambiguity and complexity
- Proactive and self-motivated mindset, with the ability to solve issues as they arise and to improve system and process efficiencies and effectiveness
- A commitment to quality, professionalism, confidentiality and attention to detail
- Exceptional communication (written & verbal) and interpersonal skills
