Reporting to the Branch Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the store offers a high standard of customer service and operating efficiencies required to achieve sales targets and growth.
The key accountabilities of the role include:
- Providing customers with a high standard of service and sales support
- Develop strong relationships with account customer base and build general retail trade
- Merchandising and presentation of products to promote sales
- Managing and resolving customer queries and complaints
- Successful in meeting sales targets and identifying ways to improve sales and reduce costs
- Responsible for cash handling, end of shift till reconciliation and security
- Stock management – bar coding, picking and packing stock, deliveries
- Attend product training, store events and demonstrations involving customers, suppliers and the sales team
- Assist with stock takes and cycle counts
- Adhere to relevant Government legislation, company policies & procedures
Essential Requirements:
- Excellent communication skills in both verbal and written
- Experience gained within the hospitality or catering industry
- Must be motivated and have a great eye for detail
- Able to work with minimal supervision
- Replenishing large volumes of stock
- Efficient cash handling and POS experience is desirable
- Experience resolving customer complaints and making quick decisions to ensure happy customers and timely accurate services
- Enthusiasm and willingness to learn with a "can do" attitude
- Must have a passion for retail and experience in a similar role
- Demonstrated success in achieving Retail Sales targets
- Good numerical aptitude
- Must also be a highly self-motivated individual with an excellent work ethic
- Strong organisational skills
- Able to identify new client relationship opportunities
Desirable Requirements:
- Prior use of Micronet POS software or a similar POS program
- Qualifications in retail / merchandising / sales or other relevant discipline
