Based in Slacks Creek, Brisbane, we are an independent tile group focused on building a team to drive growth and delight customers. Our expertise lies in curating and importing a diverse range of high-quality porcelain and ceramic tiles, along with bathroom fittings and accessories sourced from across the globe. Every day we service and support general consumers and experienced trades people through our own retail stores, and support the independent tile market SEQ wide through our wholesale business.
With nearly two decades of brand history, the business is maturing and has set a strategy for transformative growth, presenting exciting opportunities for individual development and advancement.
The Role:
We are seeking full-time and part-time Sales Associates to join our Slacks Creek showroom. In this position, you will service both general consumer and trade customers, selling porcelain and ceramic tiles, as well as bathroom accessories such as tapware, toilets, and vanities. We are a small team focused on achieving amazing outcomes for our customers. This role requires a hands-on individual, excited to assist customers on their build, renovation or DIY projects. Attention to detail and the ability to engage with customers and follow through on processes to ensure we deliver as promised are critical to both your and the business's success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet and assist customers in the store
- Provide detailed product information and recommendations
- Assist customers in product selection (training provided)
- Process transactions through cash and EFTPOS handling
- Maintain an organized and clean store environment, assisting in building of shop displays as required
- Place supplier stock orders and assist in processing stock inbound receipts and preparing outbound customer sales orders
- Following up customer quotes and close sales opportunities.
Leverage Your Experience to Add Value:
- We are expanding into new product categories; experience in selling bathroom fixtures and fittings is well received.
- Demonstrate your experience through a background with a related trade, or process knowledge of the build/renovation journey to set yourself up for success.
- Bring your experience from a retail store environment to balance customer and administrative tasks effectively.
About you:
- Customer-centric mindset. You are proactive and love to collaboratively problem solve with customers.
- Familiar with Retail Sales performance metrics and are results driven.
- You may have worked in a retail environment operating an assisted sales model, your input directly influences the sale!
- Professional in the way you present yourself, and how you interact with others.
- Physically capable; We follow safe handling practices, however tiles are a heavy material to work with, you will need to be physically capable to work in this environment.
- Existing knowledge across our product categories is nice to have, but not essential. (Wall and Floor Tiles, hybrid flooring, Carpets, tapware, vanity, baths & basins)
Our retail business operates 7 days per week, including weekends and most public holidays. You must be available to work within these requirements; you will be provided a roster and work with in your team to adjust days as required.
