Jono and Johno are seeking a motivated and experienced Manager for their Warracknabeal Store. The Warracknabeal Store provides affordable and convenient access to a diverse selection of everyday essentials and specialized products including our own range of outdoor power equipment.

About the RoleThe Warracknabeal Store Manager involves leading a top-notch team of Jono's in their quest of making our customers’ lives easier, and ensuring the efficient, profitable, and safe operation of the Warracknabeal Jono and Johno Retail Store.
Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Warracknabeal Store Manager is responsible for the day to day running of the store including:
- Proactively engage with customers to gather feedback and resolve complaints, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and loyalty.
- Maintain regular communication with the team of 6 retail assistants, providing them with ongoing professional development and training opportunities.
- liaising with suppliers;
- Manage and optimize a diverse product range, ensuring efficient stock control, regular inventory audits, and alignment with customer demand and seasonal trends.
- Monitor sales and financial performance rigorously, while also developing and adhering to the store's financial budget to ensure profitability and cost-efficiency.
- ensuring a safe work environment, monitoring and ensuring adherence to all OH&S requirements; and
- human resource management including rostering, recruitment and performance management.
The successful candidate will not only have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, but will have substantial experience in Retail Store management, delivering sales profitably and initiatives along with proven ability to successfully lead a team and work effectively under pressure.
Key Selection Criteria- Experience in managing small to medium-sized teams in a retail environment and building a high-performing team with excellent culture;
- Ability to inspire, model, and encourage positive behaviors and practices amongst team members, setting a strong example in customer service and teamwork.
- Proven ability to lead and coach a team, providing timely and constructive feedback to enhance performance;
- Demonstrated ability to forge strong relationships with customers, significantly enhancing customer loyalty and satisfaction through personalized service and engagement.
- A focus on accountability and commitment to delivering sales results that exceed expectations;
- Experience in driving safety initiatives and commitment to eliminating and managing risks and maintaining a safe work environment;
- High degree of computer literacy and capacity to learn new systems;
- Proven experience in managing inventory with precision, including forecasting, replenishment, and optimizing stock levels to meet customer demand without overstocking.
- Ability to create, exceed and continuously review KPIs within a Retail Store environment;
- Proven ability to develop and execute effective marketing strategies and promotional campaigns that boost store traffic and enhance sales performance.
- Demonstrated success in leading the development of processes that maximise efficiency and reduce key-person risk;
- Excellent attention to detail.
