About the role
This permanent Revenue & Property Officer role will see you perform rates and Property data administration and operational tasks, system processing, responding to customer queries and providing support to the Revenue & Property Senior Officer and Team Leader.
Our team is seeking a highly motivated individual who is a strong team player and can quickly adapt to a fast-paced environment with high attention to detail.
Requirements of the role will also include:
- Data and system management – create and maintain accurate computerised rating and Property files.
- Rates and Charges processing – processing charges levies, including adjustments, refunds, and data cleansing.
- Internal Controls – Perform rates and internal control processes according to framework, ensuring to maintain a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Customer Service – investigate and resolve rate payer queries and complaints in a professional manner.
- Possess effective and adaptive communication, along with sound business writing and numeracy skills.
- Problem-solving, time management and organisational skills in a fast-paced team environment.
- Computer literate with keyboard skills and knowledge of software packages including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and MS Teams.
- Able to successfully pass all required employment background checks.
While not a requirement, it will be highly advantageous to have demonstrated experience of local government and requirements for the levying of rates, charges, and Property administration.
