About the role:
This role is responsible for providing coaching and mentoring to the Revenue Service team to enable the effective execution of their duties in an accurate and timely manner, in line with stakeholder, regulatory, and customer expectations. Accountable for the day to day compliant and efficient operation of the revenue generation/recovery and accounts receivable functions.
What you’ll deliver:
Efficiently managing day-to-day operations of team members, including workload distribution and resource allocation.
Proactively ensuring compliance across Revenue Services functions to mitigate risks and maximise revenue generation.
Implementing effective governance, controls, and reporting mechanisms to minimize debt balances.
Streamlining accounts receivable and debt collection processes to maximize cash flow.
Serving as a reliable point of escalation for both the team and the broader business.
To succeed in the role, you’ll have:
5+ years’ hands-on experience working across Revenue Services functions, such as; revenue generation, collections, credit risk and/or accounts receivable.
2+ years’ demonstrated experience leading teams and managing performance.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data to make sound commercial decisions.
Experience in negotiating settlements for debt balances across a broad range of customers.
Electricity distribution industry knowledge (preferred)
Microsoft Office – particularly competent with MS Excel
