Risk & Compliance Advisor

Join our Risk Management team and become a pivotal part of the firm's risk management strategy. We are seeking an experienced and proactive National Risk and Compliance Adviser to drive risk awareness and ensure compliance across our national operations.

The Role

This dynamic and highly visible role will support the implementation of the firm's risk strategy, be an escalation point for risk issues and drive a 'risk aware' culture within the firm.

This is a newly created role that reports directly to the National Risk Manager and will have a truly national focus. You will be part of the national management team and hold an integrated position with all legal and business advisory groups within the business. You will be a solution-focused operator who provides commercial, pragmatic advice on all areas of risk.

Key Responsibilities

• Independently review and update policies and procedures.
• Ensure alignment with risk and compliance processes and frameworks.
• Prepare comprehensive risk and compliance reports for senior leadership and the Board.
• Oversee business continuity and crisis management plans.
• Address inquiries related to risk management, compliance, and health & safety.
• Evaluate risk management processes to handle third-party risk and ensure modern slavery compliance.
• Adapt to and master new Risk Management Systems.
• Foster a culture of risk awareness through workshops, training, and day-to-day operations.
• Conduct policy and compliance audits as required.

Skills & Experience

• Bachelor's degree, ideally in Business or Law.
• Familiarity with Operational, AML/CTF, ESG, Procurement/Supply Chain risks advantageous.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• 2-3 years of relevant experience in Risk Management or Consulting.
• Proven track record in risk management within a sizable organization.
• Proficiency in data collection and analysis.
• Exceptional critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
• Self-starting, resilient nature with a proactive learning mindset.
• Ability to work autonomously with meticulous attention to detail.
