The Royal Melbourne Hospital Mental Health Services provide comprehensive hospital-based, community and specialist services to youth, adults and aged people across the RMH catchment area. It is operates in partnership with Orygen Specialist Program and other Health Services in the west and north of metropolitan Melbourne.
Across the RMH Mental Health Service, we employ around 100 Doctors in Training.

All new appointments must complete a National Police Check and Victorian Working with Children's Check at their own cost and meet the immunisation requirements of their role prior to commencement.
Selection Criteria Essential: You must have completed a medical degree and be able to provide evidence of your qualifications
Essential: You must be eligible for Medical Registration status with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
Essential: I understand that this is a Psychiatry Registrar position, with all rotations in Mental Health. There is no possibility to complete medical, surgical or ED rotations in this position
Desirable: You must have a demonstrated interest in pursuing a career in Psychiatry, ideally including Psychiatry HMO experience with at least one full rotation (i.e. minimum 8 - 10 weeks)
Desirable: Be eligible to work in Australia without employer sponsorship
Desirable: Demonstrate effective communication skills including the ability to work within multidisciplinary teams
Desirable: Be prepared to demonstrate commitment to the RMH values in your work -¬ caring, excellence, integrity, respect and unity
Desirable: Are there any matters regarding your conduct or professional practice that have been referred to the Board that governs your profession; training college; VCAT; or any other tribunal whether they be in progress or completed?
