ABOUT THE ROLE:

Do you enjoy working outdoors but want the benefits of working closer to home? Consider becoming a Roads Team Member with Bass Coast Shire Council.

In this unique opportunity, you will join our Infrastructure Maintenance Roads Team on a full-time permanent basis and play a key role in the community through the maintenance and monitoring of our road network and related assets across the Bass Coast region.

Responsibilities of this role include:

• Delivering programmed works and implementing necessary monitoring and control mechanism daily
• Maintaining the Council road-network and related assets, to meet Councils Road Management Plan
• Carrying out pre-operation inspections and routine maintenance to ensure the safe operation of plant and equipment
• Liaising with the Team Leader on a daily basis about matters associated with current works and improvements to operational procedures.

You will primarily be based out of the Wonthaggi Depot, though required to work from various locations across the municipality.
