An exciting opportunity has arisen to be a part of the Bolton Clarke food services Leadership team as a full time Relief Chef Manager. Working across multiple sites to cover leave absences you will be responsible for supporting and managing the food services team to ensure a safe, high quality food service to ensure the overall customer experience is of the highest standard.
This role will be based in Townsville supporting the following regions:
- Sunset Ridge (Emu Park)
- Cunningham Villas (Bowen)
- Glendale (Townsville)
- Rowes Bay Townsville)
- Farnorha (Cairns)
- Pioneers (Longreach)
It will provide coverage for Annual Leave Coverage, Chef Manager Inductions, Functions and Accreditation Support

A week in the life of your new role
Mostly working throughout North Queensland, based in Townsville, you will be responsible for:
- Producing high quality, nutritious and well-presented meals
- Be flexible to work with both cook fresh and cook chill.
- Ensure correct food handling techniques are always maintained.
- Prepare specialised meals in accordance with resident’s care plan.
- Provide leadership and supervision of the day-to-day activities of the food services team.
- Communicate on regular basis with residents and family.
- Manage the ordering, delivery and stock control in line with catering budget.
About you
- Certificate IV in commercial cookery or demonstrated experience in commercial catering or other food services.
- Hold Food Safety Supervisor certificate.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as a member of the team, prioritising own work and the work of others within established policies, guidelines an procedures.
- Demonstration experience in positive staff motivation and enhancing team performance.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
