Fruit Pre-Sizer Operations Supervisor role with a thriving and diverse key WA horticultural company. Permanent Full-Time Position.

The position
We are offering an exciting opportunity for a suitable individual to join the Newtons’ team in an Operations role, overseeing the daily operation of packhouse plant and equipment and assisting in the development of a comprehensive maintenance program. Based in our central Manjimup packing facility, this role provides a dynamic platform for continuous learning and professional growth with extensive training provided.

Your primary responsibilities would include:
- Supervising the daily operation of the fruit Pre-sizer to ensure maximum productivity.
- Create, maintain, and oversee the Pre-sizer maintenance schedule.
- Troubleshooting any issues/breakdowns as required, as well as completing any basic maintenance and repairs.
- Liaising with Packhouse managers regarding fruit processing schedules and informing management of any breakdowns/time delays.
- Liaise with Packhouse Management regarding fruit logistics required for the Pre-sizer to ensure no down-time
- Assist Forklift operators to pack-out and load cool-rooms when needed
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal.
- A mechanical and practical, hands-on skillset - mechanically-minded and competent in the repair and maintenance of plant equipment.
- The ability and temperament to multitask, prioritize tasks, and adapt to variable workloads.
- An eye for detail.
- Basic Computer skills.
- Sensitivity to cultural differences.
- Current forklift license desirable
