Our client is a global market leader in underground mining equipment.
Your new role
Our client is looking for a rock tool technician to join their team in Mt Isa. A Rock Tools Technician works between the workshop and the underground on a 7/7 roster. This is an entry level role that can kickstart your career in mining. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to;
- Perform the daily delivery services of product to each drill site
- Remove all worn and damaged Rock Tools from the drill sites
- In field monitoring and reporting
- Analyse the condition and/or failures and discuss with the operators
- Rock Tools Inventory Management - Forecasting, Tracking and Monitoring
- Performing the sorting, gauging, cutting back, grinding and colour coding of used drill bits
- Perform the refurbishment of blocked and bent drill rods
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful for this role, you will need a manual driving licence and have a positive attitude towards work health and safety. Underground experience would be preferred but not essential.
