Our client is a global market leader in underground mining equipment.
Your new role
Our client is looking for a rock tool technician to join their team in Mt Isa. A Rock Tools Technician works between the workshop and the underground on a 7/7 roster. This is an entry level role that can kickstart your career in mining. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to;
Perform the daily delivery services of product to each drill site
Remove all worn and damaged Rock Tools from the drill sites
In field monitoring and reporting
Analyse the condition and/or failures and discuss with the operators
Rock Tools Inventory Management - Forecasting, Tracking and Monitoring
Performing the sorting, gauging, cutting back, grinding and colour coding of used drill bits
Perform the refurbishment of blocked and bent drill rods
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful for this role, you will need a manual driving licence and have a positive attitude towards work health and safety. Underground experience would be preferred but not essential.
