Reliable Plumbing Services (RPS) is the No. 1 plumbing supplier in the tertiary education sector where we support the ongoing preventative, reactive, and facilities maintenance within universities around the state.
We’re looking for an experienced and qualified Roof Plumber / Commercial Maintenance Plumber (based at Monash Uni in Clayton) who can run their own maintenance jobs, while also supporting our team of plumbers in specific projects. If you are the right person for this role, you will be hardworking and focused on what you do. You’ll enjoy working independently or as part of a team. In addition, you’ll be the type of person who organises themselves and gets on with the job while being passionate about the outcome, paying attention to detail and taking pride in your work. You’ll have an awesome work ethic and enjoy thinking outside the box to solve issues as they arise.
You will enjoy dealing with people in the jobs you are working on, liaising with stakeholders and other people within our clients’ organisations. You’ll have good solid communication skills and a friendly can-do attitude that will assure our clients that nothing is too hard.
This is a varied and interesting role; a snapshot of your focus will include:
- Re-roofing existing buildings, replacing gutters, downpipes, rain heads etc. with opportunities to work on new projects and renovations in the tertiary education sector.
- Working in a small team on scheduled and reactive plumbing maintenance activities and fault finding.
- Working in a small team on medium to large plumbing projects.
To fulfil the role, the following credentials are mandatory:
- VBA Registration (roofing).
- Construction Induction Card.
- Current driver’s licence.
- Working with Children Employee check.
It would be advantageous if you had obtained the following qualifications:
- Elevated Work Platform ticket (<11m / >11m).
- Work Safely at Heights certification.
