About the Role
YCSS is currently seeking a Full Time Roster Officer to work from its Beenleigh Office who is highly organised, has an attention to detail, can work autonomously and has the ability to effectively communicate with a variety of people.
Roster Officer key responsibilities include:
• Developing and maintaining rosters ensuring that all shifts are adequately staffed in a timely manner and comply with employment contracts in relation to minimum hours.
• Being the focal point of contact for staff rostering allocation and enquiries.
• Ensuring that all rostering is completed in accordance with the organisation’s policies and the Social, Community Home Care and Disability Services Industry Award (SCHADS).
• Communicating with Support Workers and Senior Support Workers regarding their schedules.
• Approving leave requests based on operational requirements.
• Participating in Oncall Rostering (after hours, public holidays and weekends) on a rotational basis.
The successful applicant will have:
• Experience and understanding of rostering especially within Residential Out-of-Home Care or Disability services will be highly regarded.
• Experience working with the SCHADS award or the ability to interpret the award.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Exceptional time management skills and the ability to work within tight time frames.
• Proficient level across Microsoft Office suite.
• The ability to work a rotational on-call roster that may include weekday evenings, weekends and public holidays.
• Blue Card OR ability to obtain.
• Ability to complete and pass a Department of Child Safety, Youth and Women - Licensed Care Service Criminal History screening check – LCS2/LCS7 (Please note that this check can take up to 4 weeks to be processed),
