As we continue to grow, we are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Rostering Coordinator.
Position Overview
As a Rostering Coordinator, you will play a vital role in ensuring the effective scheduling and coordination of support staff for our participants. You will be responsible for managing and maintaining staff rosters, allocating shifts, and ensuring adequate coverage to meet participant needs. This role requires exceptional organisational skills, excellent communication abilities, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain staff rosters using ShiftCare, our rostering software, ensuring accurate and up-to-date scheduling of support staff.
- Allocate shifts to staff members based on their availability, skills, and participant requirements while adhering to the guidelines outlined in the SCHADS award.
- Monitor and adjust rosters to ensure optimal coverage, taking into account staff leave, training, and other factors.
- Liaise with support staff, participants, and their families to ensure clear communication regarding schedules and any changes.
- Collaborate with the management team to identify and address any staffing gaps or issues.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation related to staff rosters, shift allocations, and any rostering changes.
- Provide regular reports and updates on rostering activities to the management team.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Previous experience in rostering or scheduling coordination, preferably in the disability services or healthcare sector.
- Proficient in using ShiftCare or similar rostering software.
- Familiarity with the guidelines and provisions of the SCHADS award.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Problem-solving skills and the ability to think on your feet.
- Flexibility and adaptability to changing priorities and requirements.
