About the role

This role is a FIFO position on an 8/6 roster ex-Perth, roving across Mineral Resources (MinRes) sites. This role will be supporting our Iron business unit.

You will ensure that worker and workplace training needs are successfully achieved to the MinRes standards, aligned to the organisation goals and provide the necessary value add.

This is primarily a site-based role. On occasion you may also be required to work across metro sites and the Perth office. It is a support role for the business to meet the requirements outlined in the Mineral Resources Training Framework through effective training and assessment activities. Key activities include;

  • Promote, review, implement and support the MinRes Training Framework that provides foundation and direction for MinRes employee training.
  • Facilitate training and assessment (Nationally Recognised Training, VOC, Equipment Familiarisations, Site based training presentations etc).
  • Develop training packages to meet business needs.
  • Build key relationships with site-based management teams to ensure their training needs are met.
  • Promote and support the MinRes Training Standards and Processes.
  • Provide support and resource capabilities to the Training Supervisor regarding training and assessment facilitation.
  • Upload completed training documentation into InTuition
  • Proactively assist sites in achieving their training and compliance requirements.
  • Being a role model to ensure best practices are demonstrated and abided by. 

About you

  • Certificate IV in Training & Assessment – TAE40116/ TAE40122
  • 5 years experience in the Resources and Mining sector - major projects.
  • 2 or more-year experience in a Trainer/Assessor Role
  • A range of Nationally Recognised Competencies and High Risk Work Licences relevant to the Mining Industry and in particular the mining and operational environment
  • Training Management System experience (INX InTuition desirable)
  • Experience in using training tools such as Training Needs Analysis
  • Valid C Class drivers licence
