You will play a pivotal role in ensuring the highest standards of health, safety, environmental sustainability, and food safety across our operations. This involves up to three million guests, hundreds of events the park welcomes each year, and includes the world's biggest tennis tournament, the Australian Open. The Position
- Assist in designing, implementing, and maintaining a comprehensive health, safety, environment, and quality (HSEQ) management system to ensure adherence to regulatory standards and industry best practices.
- Spearhead food safety programs, including hazard analysis, risk assessments, and the implementation of preventive measures. Conduct routine inspections and audits of food service operations to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with food safety.
- Work with operational leaders in their safety behaviours and programs to drive safe operations improvement.
- Assist in the investigation of incidents to drive a rigorous approach to root cause identification and close out of corrective action.
- Work closely with internal stakeholders, external vendors, and regulatory authorities to address safety and food safety concerns. Implement effective communication channels and protocols to promote transparency and accountability in addressing safety issues and implementing corrective actions.
- Drive initiatives to promote environmental sustainability, including waste reduction, energy conservation, and pollution prevention. Foster a culture of safety and quality throughout the organization by providing training, guidance, and support to staff on safety protocols, emergency procedures, and food handling practices.
The Person
- Proven track record in, or exposure to, developing and managing health, safety, environment, and quality (HSEQ) management systems.
- Knowledge of food safety management, including knowledge of HACCP principles and food safety regulations would be of benefit.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills to effectively lead and advise on safety initiatives and collaborate with stakeholders.
- Demonstrated experience in monitoring HSEQ programmes in a multi-service environment (including Facilities Management).
- Degree/Diploma in relevant field and/or Certificate IV Work Health and Safety.
- Experience working with regulatory agencies and ensuring compliance with health, safety, and food safety regulations.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office, web-based software applications and a high level of computer literacy in general.
