Join our Safety team in this long-term career development opportunity based in Southbank, working across Melbourne's iconic Citylink road network. This hands-on role will actively lead and ensure on-going compliance with statutory obligations whilst mitigating risk.
As a Safety Advisor, you will actively support, coach, mentor and provide technical advice to internal stakeholders across the contract. This dynamic role will have a mix exposure to site-based and office with a focus on bringing people together to ensure we achieve our Safety objectives whilst contributing to the innovation of the business. This position will require the successful candidate to work both day shift and night shift.
ABOUT YOU
Exposure in the Road Maintenance, Civil, Mechanical or Electrical sectors will be highly regarded as will the ability to influence and engage a wide range of stakeholders, maintaining strong relationships with both operational and management personnel to achieve best safety outcomes.
- Tertiary qualifications Occupational Health and Safety advantageous.
- Quality / Safety Lead Internal Auditor (desirable).
- ICAM Lead Incident Investigation (desirable).
- Demonstrated leadership and management capabilities in a safety context.
- Influential and conversational communication style, utilising a partnering approach to build on learning insights across the business.
- Ability to adapt across complex working environments and engage with multiple stakeholders.
- Collaborative predisposition, appropriately exercising flexibility, and tenaciousness.
- OHS exposure gained within a high-risk industry operating accredited heavy vehicles.
- Strong computer and data analysis skills that extend to report collation and presentation.
