Main Duties of the Role:
- Support stakeholders and ensure all relevant HSEQ legislation, policies and procedures are implemented and effective
- Coach and support the business to understand their risk, determine and implement appropriate risk management activities including the development of safe working procedures and practices
- Develop and implement safety policies and procedures in compliance with local, state, and federal legislation and regulations
- Incident management – provide practical advise to stakeholders of the business to mitigate future risks
- Management of Workers Compensation including but not limited to liaising with insurers and rehabilitation providers for effective return to work solutions
- Travel interstate as required to collaborate with our national teams
- Effectively use the Safety Management Software DoneSafe
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Cert IV in Workplace Health Safety or related field
- Proven experience in operating in a HSE leadership role with relevant qualifications
- Strong knowledge of HSE legislation and SWMS compliance reporting
- A motivated self-starter who is solution focused
- Strong administrative and analytical skills with a keen eye for detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Knowledge of construction worksite safety practices and procedures (favourable but not mandatory)
- Experience with Safety Management Software DoneSafe (favourable but not mandatory)
