The Role
Mineral Resources Iron Ore team are seeking a Safety Advisor to join us on an 8x6 roster from Perth to Iron Valley. Reporting directly through to the Senior Safety Advisor, you will play an integral part in the contribution of promoting a safe, healthy, and environmentally responsible work ethic and safety culture. You will have the ability to be a part of one of our exciting projects that lies within our Iron Ore Team.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide advice and assistance to ensure compliance with relevant WA statutory requirements, Codes of Practice, MRL processes and Procedures
- Identifying risk and non-compliance issues for field-based activities to ensure risks are known and mitigated
- Implementing OHS critical risk management incentives
- Coach and mentor the workforce in workplace safety
- System auditing to verify compliance against MinRes safety standards & legislative requirements
- Interpret safety data, incident investigation and injury management cases
- Promote and participating in all safety related forums and programs
What you’ll bring to the team
- Minimum Cert IV in Occupational Health and Safety
- Minimum 4+ years’ experience in a similar role in the mining/ processing environment
- Demonstrated success in leading, coaching, mentoring and developing diverse teams
- Strong understanding of Safety on site and a positive approach to implementation and execution of pragmatic management systems
- TapRooT / ICAM experience is desirable
