About the Opportunity:
Reporting to the Group Head of Culinary, you will be responsible for managing the WH&S and Food Safety programs across LUCAS Restaurants. You will work with the venue management teams to ensure a safe work environment, as well as ongoing compliance and audits, evaluating of standards and appropriate training to crew.
Desired experience & Skills
- Demonstrated experience in a Compliance /WH&S/Food Safety role or similar
- A high-level understanding of Food safety & WH&S procedures
- Experience in the creation and implementation of Work Health & Safety policies and procedures
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Experience in managing workplace safety incidents.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage time effectively.
- Experience in maintaining accurate and up to date documentation and record keeping of WH&S policies
- Strong decision-making skills and ability to work with ambiguity.
- Ability to maintain and coordinate all food safety programs to maintain statutory compliance.
- Experience in maintaining manuals on food safety and hygiene practices.
- Strong stakeholder management skills
- Experience / background in a commercial cookery environment is advantageous (but not essential)
- Ability to manage competing priorities and be self-motivated.
- Tertiary qualifications in Food Safety Supervision / Commercial cookery
