As our SHEQ Business Partner, you will play a crucial role in championing initiatives across all aspects of our operations. You will collaborate with various stakeholders, including the leadership team, managers, supervisors, and employees to develop and implement effective strategies and programs to promote a culture of safety and excellence.
Responsibilities:
• Support our leaders with risk assessments, safety interactions, and inspections to identify potential hazards and improvement opportunities.
• Provide guidance and support to managers, supervisors and employees on safety, health, Environment & Quality matters.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and deliver training programs to promote awareness and compliance.
• Monitor and analyse safety, health, Environment & Quality performance data to identify trends and improvement opportunities.
• Conduct regular audits with site management, workers and Subcontractors.
• Lead investigations into incidents and non-conformances and recommend corrective actions.
• Stay up to date with industry trends, best practices, and regulatory changes to ensure compliance and continuous improvement.
As the right candidate, you will possess:
• Diploma in Workplace Health and Safety or Environmental Management, or a related field.
• ICAM Lead trained.
• Proven experience in safety, health, Environment & Quality management.
• Strong knowledge of relevant Legislation, Codes of Practice, and Australian Standards.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
• Detail-oriented with strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Desirable Requirements:
• Knowledge of National Heavy Vehicle Legislation.
• Lead Auditor training.
• Experience with ISO 45001, ISO 14001, ISO 9001 implementation and auditing.
• Certificate IV in Training and Assessment.
