Haynes are currently seeking aSafety Officerfor Hastings Deering in Mackay, Queensland.
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Provide analytical support to improve systems capability to meet SHEQ objectives, including the measurement, monitoring, and evaluation of performance.
- Assist and Manage the Contractor Management process through the HDAL Contractor Management System.
- Provide administrative assistance to Manager of the Safety and Regional Operations team.
- Coordinate and manage travel for Safety and Sustainability team.
- Manage the maintenance of Safety systems to support current system functionality.
- Manage and report on safety planner tasks assigned to the Safety & Operational teams.

Role Requirements:
- Relevant qualifications in Safety are advantageous
- Successful candidates must have previous experience in a Safety Administration or Officer position
- Ability to pass pre-employment medical and drug and alcohol test
- Competent in computer use
- Motivated and strong work ethic with excellent organizational skills
