Your Responsibilities:
Work closely with rail operators and Rail Safety workers to oversee safety practices and ensure compliance with the Rail Safety National Law. Your tasks will include:
- Conducting regulatory activities like site visits, audits, inspections, and responding to Rail Safety incidents.
- Supporting the assessment of accreditation and registration applications.
- Providing detailed reports on your regulatory activities with recommendations to the Manager, Operations, and General Manager.
- Assisting with technical advice on Rail Safety operational matters.
- Performing the role of a Duty Officer, taking calls regarding rail incidents and providing initial responses.
- Supporting Rail Safety initiatives through proactive monitoring of regulatory intelligence.
Experience in the rail industry is a plus, we are also interested in candidates with backgrounds in safety or regulatory roles. If you're self-motivated, detail-oriented, and comfortable with technology, you might be the perfect fit! Here's what we're looking for:
