AddressThe CAMM Group of Companies includes CAMM Quarries, CAMM Concrete and Townsville Graded Sands (TGS), our operations consist of 2 hard rock quarries, 2 sand plants and both mobile and fixed concrete plants in the Townsville region.
Due to our dynamic and sustained growth, we are looking for a motivated and flexible person to maintain our Health and Safety requirements onsite, as the HSE Advisor onsite, you will report to the HSE Manager and the SSE.
Potential candidates should hold the following skills and experience:
- Demonstrate effective communication skills.
- Experience in a similar capacity or familiarity with safety procedures within quarrying and concreting operations is advantageous.
- An understanding of relevant WHS and MQSH regulations.
- Hold necessary qualifications in Health & Safety.
- Possess a valid and unencumbered driver's license.
- Display strong time management abilities, effectively prioritising tasks across multiple stakeholders.
- Show a dedicated commitment to safety, with the ability to motivate others.
- Have or be willing to obtain first aid/CPR certification.
- Able to work with the onsite teams to identify solutions to issues.
Your responsibilities will encompass:
- Traveling to various locations in and around Townsville (this role involves fieldwork).
- Actively participating in pre-start meetings and conducting toolbox talks.
- Regularly inspecting and documenting CAMM Group sites through inspections and internal audits.
- Ensuring adherence to the Safety Management System.
- Review and oversee HSE documentation, risk assessments, and equipment registers.
- Assist in the development and review of SWMS/JSEA/Plant Risk Assessments.
- Leading site hazard identification and conducting incident investigations.
- Managing on-site subcontractor HSE matters, including all aspects of onboarding.
- This role is Monday to Friday with a ½ day every second Saturday.
