We are seeking a dynamic and experienced WHS Advisor/Business Partner to join a global brand based here in Brisbane This hands-on role is pivotal in driving a safety-first culture, supporting the implementation of WHS and Environmental Management systems, and ensuring compliance with legislative requirements.
As the WHS&E Manager, you will be responsible for:
- Maintaining and improving WHS and Environmental Management systems.
- Providing expert support and advice on health, safety, injury management, and workers' compensation.
- Building the capability of managers and team leaders in WHS management.
- Leading collaborative solutions to work health and safety in a complex national organization.
- Monitoring safety and environmental performances, providing regular reports to management.
- Developing and implementing internal WHS&E audit and inspection programs.
- Managing Workers Compensation Claims, Return to Work, and Policy Renewals.
Experience/Qualifications:
To be successful in this role you will:
- Have minimum 3-5+ years WHS experience
- Proven ability to understand, apply, and communicate complex WHS processes.
- Knowledge of WHS legislation, regulations, and codes of practice.
- Current Driver's License
- Tertiary qualification(s) in WHS or similar
- Building industry experience highly regarded
- Ability to conduct incident investigations and risk assessments.
- Flexibility, commercial awareness, and a practical approach to WHS.
