The Role (Based in SA):
Enerven is seeking a permanent Safety Advisor in SA to join our team as we continue to grow!
As an experienced safety professional in the fields of construction, energy, or contracting, this is an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact in the energy and renewables industry.
You will play a vital role in ensuring that our operations meet the highest standards of compliance to legislation, policy and procedures, through advice, coaching, monitoring and reporting.
Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Assist with the implementation and management of Enerven's WHS Management System
- Provide advice in accordance with relevant WHS legislation, Australian Standards, directives, processes, procedures and guidelines;
- Conduct safety & environmental risk assessments;
- Ensure mitigation processes for identified hazards are in place and communicated;
- Conduct audits, inspections and observations in accordance with project scope;
- Monitoring of contractors and adherence to client requirements
- Facilitate, develop and provide relevant safety information and communications to site leadership team for toolbox briefings, inductions and prestart briefings;
- Conduct incident investigations, undertake WHS reporting and project analysis.
- Provide monthly reports as required by project, client and Leader
Other conditions:
- Some out of hours’ work will be required as part of the normal duties of this position
- Interstate and intrastate travel may be required
- Will be required to visit worksites
- Will be dealing with confidential customer, SA Power Networks and Enerven information, which must not be disclosed to any third party without the appropriate written customer or management approval
What you will need:
- Diploma in WHS and/or the equivalent level of skills and knowledge gained through experience
- Current drivers licence – car
- Experience working in the electrical and telecommunications industries is desirable
- Current First Aid Certificate (desirable)
- Knowledge/experience of ISO45001, ISO9001 and ISO14001 management systems
