Made for More. About the role WesTrac Institute is currently under a growth stage and is now on the search for an experienced Safety Trainer and Assessor to join our RTO based in Tomago.
The primary role of the Safety Trainer and Assessor is to train and assess the safety and high-risk work licensing training requirements for WesTrac employees, identify and implement areas for improvement and change including polices, procedures and current practice. The Safety Trainer and Assessor will engage with internal and external key stakeholders to identify training needs and deliver quality training services. Some packages you will provide training are as follows; Working at Heights Forklift Dogging MDG25 Overhead Crane Limited Movement Jacking and Blocking of Machine
High Torque Safety Under 11m EWP Fire Fighting Fire Warden Scaffolding Awareness Key Responsibilities Deliver scheduled training courses in accordance with required standards Travel within WesTrac branches as scheduled in advance Complete relevant participant documentation associated with the training delivered Submit records to Administration Officer as per agreed timeframes Provide technical advice and guidance to participants to build knowledge and skill base Identify participant training special needs or different requirements and align training delivery to support Actively engage with internal and external stakeholders to build strong relationships and support an understanding of their training requirements Skills & Experience Demonstrated ability to deliver a range of safety training as above Preferred but not essential - Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE) and at least 12 months experience in a training and assessor role, If not held we can support you in this during a restricted timeframe Excellent organisational & delivery skills, with the ability to plan, manage fluctuating workloads and conflicting priorities to achieve deadlines Excellent communication skills – interpersonal, written and verbal with the ability to influence and inspire groups of people with a passion for transferring knowledge and skills A demonstrated commitment to safety and the environment Drivers licence with the ability and willingness to travel every 3 weeks (weekdays only) Benefits Competitive salary and benefits scheme Relocation assistance for eligible candidates Novated leasing…
