Job tasks and responsibilities
With the expansion of our services, an opportunity exists for a Safety and Training Coordinator who will be responsible for providing SHET support to our projects across the country and in particular NSW.
Reporting to the SHET Manager, this role requires familiarity with AS/NZS ISO45001 Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems development and implementation, experience facilitating incident investigations, systems auditing skills and the ability to lead risk management strategies.
Skills and experience
In order to be considered for this position you must:
- have a current and valid manual drivers licence;
- be willing to complete a national police check;
- hold a Certificate IV or higher in WH&S and TAE40116;
- hold a Certificate in ICAM investigations;
- hold auditing qualifications relevant to Management Systems (advantageous)
- be dedicated to providing a safe workplace for your project team;
- be willing and able to work autonomously;
- be willing to travel regularly to regional and remote areas;
- have current proven experience in a safety and training position within the mining industry.
- be comfortable working in dynamic environments, having the ability to assess and re-prioritise work tasks.
Having previous experience working within the Mining and Drilling industry with safety as your number one priority and a professional attitude to work aligned with HMR Value of Safety, Service, Respect and Results is essential.
This position will Site based, requiring travel to regional and remote areas to support the projects.
FIFO from major cities will be provided. Meals and accommodation will be provided while on roster.
