The Opportunity: We are looking for a dedicated Safety and Quality Coordinator to join our team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead and influence Safety and Quality practices within a dynamic and diverse manufacturing environment. You will have the chance to shape and enhance our safety culture, drive continuous improvement initiatives, and ensure the highest standards of quality across our operations. Reporting directly to the business unit manager, you will have real autonomy and ownership over your daily work, making a meaningful impact within the business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee Safety and Quality standards across all operations.
- Develop and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Safe Work Method Statements (SWMS).
- Conduct incident investigations and facilitate continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 standards through internal auditing.
- Support the Return to Work program and maintain WHS protocols.
- Promote a positive safety culture
- Ensure compliance with all relevant WHS legislation, regulations, and standards
Essential Qualifications and Skills:
- WHS Certificate IV (minimum).
- NSW Return to Work Coordinator Qualification.
- ISO 9001 Internal Auditor certification.
- Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience in constructing and executing SOPs & SWMS.
- Incident investigation facilitation.
- Current First Aid certification
Highly Desirable Qualifications:
- Mental Health First Aider certification.
- Diploma in Occupational Health & Safety (BSB 51307).
- Certificate IV in Training Assessment & Education.
- Certificate IV in Business (Frontline Management) (BSB 41001).
- Relevant trade background.
- Experience in emergency management procedures and practices.
- Skills in Root Cause Analysis and Problem Solving (5 Why, Lean Manufacturing).
- Familiarity with mine site induction processes.
- Experience in document control.
