The Catering Services department operates four outlets within the precinct: Strangers' Dining Room and Lucinda Bar, Members' Dining Room and the Cafe. The department also provides food and beverages for events and functions held within the parliamentary precinct, such as weddings, private functions, parliamentary events, high-profile and media-related events.
Your Opportunity
Unique opportunity for a Sales and Events Coordinator – working Monday – Friday!
As the Sales and Events Coordinator, you will
- Plan and organise function venues for various events within the precinct;
- Ensure room set-up, catering, and health and safety requirements are met;
- Negotiate with clients on service type and costs;
- Liaise with service delivery areas to prepare venues;
- Monitor function performance and service delivery;
- Prepare function documentation following process and procedure.
Skills & experience
- Proven track record in sales/event management with at least 1-2 years of experience in a similar role.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Previous experience with Ivvy is advantageous.
